<p><b>Új lap</b></p><div>Az európai piacra szánt Priusban elől és hátul is féktárcsás fékrendszer található. Mivel az autó az idő nagy részében a regeneratív fékezést igyekszik használni lassításnál, hogy hasznosítani tudja a mozgásienergiát, ezért a P2-es Priusokban normál esetben rendkívül lassan kopnak a fékbetétek, mert egy normál rendszerű autóhoz képest jóval kevesebbet használja a fékbetétet. Mivel keveset használja a fékbetétet, ezért egy-egy fékrendszer futási teljesítménye jóval magasabb, akár 100.000 kilométer is lehet. Ellenben ennek a rendszernek van hátránya is, egyes esetekben képes annyira keveset használni a fékrendszert, hogy hajlamos lehet a fékrendszer a berohadásra. Ez általában főleg a hátsó fékeknél figyelhető meg, ezért javasolt időnként szétszedni és bezsírozni a csavarokat, a fékcsuszkákat.<br />
